Legacy .NET Modernization to Azure Microservices

A U.S.-based data analytics platform had a monolithic .NET Framework 4.6 application that had grown over 8 years into a 400,000-line codebase with no automated tests. The system handled sensitive financial reporting for enterprise clients and could not afford downtime during migration.

Embedded a team of three engineers for 14 months. Began with a full codebase audit and domain mapping. Incrementally extracted bounded contexts into independently deployable .NET Core microservices on Azure, running alongside the monolith until full cutover. Built a CI/CD pipeline from scratch and introduced test coverage from zero to 74%.

  • Zero production incidents during phased migration
  • Deploy frequency went from monthly to daily
  • Infrastructure costs reduced 38% after Azure optimization
  • Client's internal team onboarded to the new architecture in 3 weeks

React + Node.js Team Embedded in a U.S. Product Squad

A U.S. healthtech startup had secured Series A funding and needed to scale engineering fast. Their in-house team of 4 was already stretched, and hiring locally at Bay Area rates would have consumed their runway within 18 months. They needed senior bilingual engineers who could integrate into their existing sprint cycle immediately.

Placed two senior full-stack engineers within 3 weeks of the initial call. Both attended daily standups at 9 AM Pacific, participated in sprint planning, and had commit access from day one. No project manager layer. No ticket translation. Direct communication with their CTO. Engagement has continued for 26 months.

  • Feature velocity increased 2.3x in the first quarter
  • Engineering cost per feature dropped 51% vs. equivalent U.S. hire
  • Both engineers still active — zero turnover in 26 months
  • Client expanded to 4 Software Pura Vida engineers at month 12

Fintech · QA Team Build

Full QA Department Built from Zero in 6 Weeks

A U.S. fintech company processing $2B+ annually in transactions had no formal QA function. Testing was done ad hoc by developers, and two near-miss incidents in one quarter triggered a board-level directive to build a quality assurance capability immediately. They had no internal QA expertise to hire or manage from.

Deployed a QA Lead plus two QA engineers within 6 weeks. Started with a full test strategy document covering unit, integration, regression, performance, and security testing. Built a Selenium-based automation framework integrated into their existing CI pipeline. Established defect triage processes and a regression suite that runs on every merge to main.

  • 83% of critical test scenarios automated within 90 days
  • Production defect rate dropped 67% in the first two quarters
  • First major release post-QA-build: zero post-deploy critical issues
  • QA team now operates fully autonomously, embedded in 3 product squads
